* D'Bridge 1.30

D'Bridge is a very easy mailer to setup with RA, the reason for this
is D'Bridge can handle everything internally!, no need for any mail
tossers or packers. The drawback is the price, D'Brdige is a
commercial program and cannot be used for a period in excess of more
than 30days without registration. The cost of .UK60 is well worth
it (In my humble opinion).

There are many different ways of using D'Bridge with RA, and
depending on your system configuration you may need to change some of
this sample configuration. The following is a step by step guide to
a basic setup.

Firstly go into D'bridge setup 'DB.EXE SETUP' and select 'BBS Config'
from the ADVANCED menu. Change the 'Dos Command for BBS' to '*X'.
In the same menu also change 'Using a BBS?' to 'Yes', 'Scan ECHOmail
after?' to 'Yes'.

Now go into the 'Packet/Mail control' from the CONFIG menu and set

Next, select 'Xmail control' for the CONFIG menu and set the path
and name of all your archiving utilities (ie PKZIP etc etc.)

Now select 'Directory Paths' from the CONFIG menu and set 'Quick
directory path' to your RA messagebase directory.

Finally, you need to setup your echomail areas in D'Bridge, I
have found that it is benefical to keep the area numbers in DB the
same as the RA area numbers.

   Example

              Area # 21
                Tag: R25_RA
Security level: 9999 Sort group: 21
        Description: RemoteAccess Support Group Echo
            Storage: QuickBBS (Fido/QuickBBS/None)
    QuickBBS area #: 21
    Default private? No
       Area archive:
Purge after: 60 days Preserve: 0 messages
          Area type: Echomail (Echomail/Local)
     Conference tag: R25_RA
        Origin line: Dregal <>> RAccess Support Group <<> +44 224 693713
      Alias address:
      Tiny SEEN-BYs? No
   Default priority: Hold (Immediate/Crash/Normal/Hold)
         Forward to: 2:440/66

Area # <Same number as set in RACONFIG for this msg area.
This makes configuration less confusing once
you start taking lots of message areas>

Tag: <Anything, this is just a short word to remind
you what this msg area is>

Security level: <Unless you are a HUB set as 9999, if you are a
                       HUB read the docs>
Sort group: <Set the number to match the AREA #, this is
vital if you intend to use DBUTIL>

Description: <Decription of this echo area, for your use only>

         Storage: <Set to QuickBBS>

QuickBBS area #: <Set to the RA msg area No. for this echo>

Default private? <NO, in mostly all cases>

Area archive: <Name of a file to achive old msg's to, if you
don't want to save old msg's leave blank>

Purge after: <Then number of msg's to remain in this echo, or
if you press 'F1' the number of days msg's will
                    be keeped before deletion>

       Area type: <Echomail or Local>

Conference tag: <The exact TAG name for the echomail conference,
ask your Net Echomail CoOrdinator for a list
                    of these>

Origin line: <Your Board Name and perhaps your Tel. No., this
should not contain your Node number as D'bridge
will add this automatically. If you leave this
blank, the System Name field from the Basic
                    config will be used>

Alias address: <Blank, unless you wish to use an Alias address
                    for this area>

Tiny SEEN-BYs? <Set as NO, *NEVER* change this to YES, without
firstly checking with your Net Echomail CoOrd>

Default priority: <Normally HOLD or NORMAL, is you set it to CRASH
or IMMEDIATE there is a high change that your
system will call your HUB every time a user
enters a message. This can be VERY costly>

      Forward to: <Your HUB's Node Number>

Once you have done this for all your message area's, you are nearly
finished. All that remains is a batch file to run D'Bridge from,
the example in the 'Help_Index' of this guide, will work fine with
this configuration.

Thats it, D'bridge will pack and toss all messages automatically and
requires very little maintance.
